Now that you've completed (or almost completed) "The Production Process" unit, what are three things that you learned? Please explain each in detail. Why are these three things that you think are the most important to making a film? There wasn't a lot that I learned in this unit, because I've known about most of the things we went over. The things that I did learn were the smaller jobs in the different departments, and a few names of some of the jobs, such as the name gaffer, boy, and grip. One job that I wasn't aware of was the Line Producer, who reports the the Producer, is reported by Head of Departments, and oversees the budget. The three things that I find the most important to making a film are the roles of the Director, who drives the vision of the film. The 1st Assistant Director, who controls everything on set, and the Editor, who puts the film together with the help of the Director.
In the book "Blink"By: Malcolm Gladwell, psychologist make claims that by watching a persons face you can tell whether they are lying or not. The saying a picture is worth a thousand words comes in very handy during these trying times. Washington DC Video Production

It's great to see you reflecting on your semester goals in the realm of video production. I've also been setting similar targets for myself here in video production Adelaide. One thing I've found is that reviewing past objectives helps clarify what adjustments are necessary for future projects. Were there any particular resources or techniques that you found invaluable this semester that you'd recommend?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this detailed and inspiring post about film and video production. It’s always fascinating to see the creative process behind making impactful videos. As someone interested in video production, I’m curious about how you approach the storytelling aspect—do you find it easier to plan everything in advance or allow for spontaneous creativity during filming? The way you highlighted the importance of teamwork and technical skills resonated with me. It’s a great reminder of how much effort and collaboration goes into creating quality content.
