12/04/2017 | THE PRODUCTION PROCESS WRAPUP
Now that you've completed (or almost completed) "The Production Process" unit, what are three things that you learned? Please explain each in detail. Why are these three things that you think are the most important to making a film?
There wasn't a lot that I learned in this unit, because I've known about most of the things we went over. The things that I did learn were the smaller jobs in the different departments, and a few names of some of the jobs, such as the name gaffer, boy, and grip. One job that I wasn't aware of was the Line Producer, who reports the the Producer, is reported by Head of Departments, and oversees the budget.
The three things that I find the most important to making a film are the roles of the Director, who drives the vision of the film. The 1st Assistant Director, who controls everything on set, and the Editor, who puts the film together with the help of the Director.
