THE AD COUNCIL | 1/12/18

What does the Ad Council do?  What is its mission?  Do you recognize any of their campaigns growing up?  Which ones?  Why do you feel they were effective?

The Ad Council is a producer of public service advertising. The mission of the Ad Council is to identify public issues, and making actions to make a difference in society. The only campaign that I'm familiar with is Smokey Bear, who talks about forest fires. I didn't watch the ads growing up, but I'm familiar with it. I find this ad very effective because people recognize the character, and the character has a unique name.

Summarize the three techniques that she taught in this lesson? What is a way you could use each of these individual techniques going forward with your video's that you create? One technique that was explained in the video was the Rate Stretch Tool, adjusting the speed depending on how you adjust the clip. The second technique is changing the the Clip Speed / Duration. There's also Ripple Edit, which fills in gaps. Another feature is Reverse Speed, which is exactly what it sounds like.
