How is an EPK Director/Producer's role different from a traditional film director or producer?  What are some of their responsibilities on a production?

EPK Directors and Producer's roles are different from the traditional director and producer because they find their positions wherever they can. You have to have experience on a film set, experience in editing, have good computer skills, and understand the production process.

Why is the directors role so important in a film?  What are some of their responsibilities on a film? The director's role is so important because they're creatively responsible for bringing the film to life. They have a vision, and they have to make that a reality. They are are also responsible for casting, shots, compositions, and editing. Directors need to have a deep passion for filmmaking, and be committed.
