STORYTELLING UNIT WRAPUP | 5/8/18
What are 3 things that you've learned in the storytelling unit? What are 2 things that you'd like to learn more about? What is one thing you're still unsure about? Why? Please be specific and use vocabulary you've learned in the unit so far.
There really wasn't a lot to learn from the storytelling unit since we only reviewed the beginning of the keynote. However, that doesn't really mean that we didn't learn anything at all. There were two things that I learned about, one of the them was the Character Tree. I really like that process because it really goes in-depth with the character that you're creating. It's a great way to bring the character to life. The other thing I learned about was the 7 types of conflict: Person vs. self, society, technology, nature, supernatural, fate/gods. Aside from learning new things, there were a few other things that we went over, such as plot: the "chain of events" of the story, and theme: the deeper meaning of the story, what's underneath.
