SFX VS. FINAL MIX | 3/26/18

Use what you've learned about sound in the keynotes and readings.  Describe 3 things that you notice about the before and after sound effects mix vs. the final mix.  How are they different?  How would you describe each of the differences?

Three things that I noticed about the before and after sound effects mix and final mix is that that the effects mixes are very distorted. Music is usually finalized in the final mix. Also, ambient sound is removed from both mixes. Lastly, the final mix includes every small detail to sound, such as footsteps and hand motions, also the sound effects of the environment.

Summarize the three techniques that she taught in this lesson? What is a way you could use each of these individual techniques going forward with your video's that you create? One technique that was explained in the video was the Rate Stretch Tool, adjusting the speed depending on how you adjust the clip. The second technique is changing the the Clip Speed / Duration. There's also Ripple Edit, which fills in gaps. Another feature is Reverse Speed, which is exactly what it sounds like.
