There are many differences between monophonic and stereophonic sound. Mono sound is less expensive than stereo sound, which is more expensive. Mono sound is easy to record, while stereo sound requires knowledge and professional equipment to record. Mono sound has only 1 channel while stereo sound has two or more. Lastly, mono sound can be used for more services, such as for hearing aids, and mobile communication.
