IRON MAN WITHOUT MUSIC | 3/27/18

Without music, how does the scene feel to you?  Why?  What aspects seem missing?  How do you think having music change this scene?

To me, the ambush scene seems more intense and realistic without music. Obviously it's already dramatic because it's a violent and deadly scene, but it feels very realistic when there's no music. When there IS music, the scene feels more dramatic, as in having more adrenaline, but it just doesn't feel as realistic as before. I prefer the scene without music, but the hostage scene is better with music, because there's no action taking place, and the music brings the intensity to the scene.

Summarize the three techniques that she taught in this lesson? What is a way you could use each of these individual techniques going forward with your video's that you create? One technique that was explained in the video was the Rate Stretch Tool, adjusting the speed depending on how you adjust the clip. The second technique is changing the the Clip Speed / Duration. There's also Ripple Edit, which fills in gaps. Another feature is Reverse Speed, which is exactly what it sounds like.
